What is included?
Keep access to an underground chamber while continuing the surrounding paving finish across a removable recessed lid. The kit includes its stainless steel lid and edge-protector frame, lifting key, height adjuster and adhesive. The paving inlay is cut and installed on site; it is not supplied with the kit.
What is the clear opening?
24 × 24 inches. Measure the clear access opening beneath your existing cover before ordering.
How large is the outer frame?
26 × 26 inches. Confirm there is space and support for the whole frame.
Is the named size the clear opening?
No. Nominal size can describe the lid or frame. Use the separately listed clear opening and outer frame dimensions.
What is this cover made from?

What shape is this cover?
Square. Compare both the shape and the actual dimensions with your installation.
Does it include a matching frame?
Yes. Fit the supplied cover and frame as a matched assembly.
Will the lid fit my existing frame?
Do not assume so. This product is supplied as a cover-and-frame set; compatibility with another frame is not confirmed.

Pedestrian areas only. Do not install in driveways, roads or parking areas. This cover is not watertight and must not be permanently submerged.

Is it suitable for a patio?
It may suit a pedestrian patio when the chamber, frame support and installation meet the product requirements. Have your installer confirm the complete arrangement.
What should I check before buying?
Match the 24 inch square clear opening, 26 inch square frame and available installation depth to the access chamber. Have a qualified installer check the support and inlay thickness against the HIDE instructions.
Does this cover need paving infill?
Yes. The recessed tray takes separately supplied paving inlay.
Is paving material included?
No. Your installer supplies and fits the paving inlay.
What finish does the top have?
The top finish depends on the paving material installed in the recessed tray.
What installation depth do I need?
The listed frame depth is 1⅝ inches. Your installer must also allow for support and the surrounding construction.
How thick can the inlay be?
Use material 1–1¼ inches (25–32 mm) thick. Check this against the internal tray depth of 1¼ inches.
Is it watertight?
No. This HIDE cover is not watertight and must not be permanently submerged.
Can it be permanently submerged?
Do not choose this cover for a permanently submerged installation. Confirm the application requirements with your installer.
Can I cut or modify the frame?
Do not modify the cover or frame without manufacturer guidance. Changes may affect support, fit and safe use.
Can I install it myself?
Use a suitably qualified installer to check chamber support, depth and the finished surface. Follow the manufacturer instructions.
How should it be maintained?
Keep the seating surfaces clear, check that the lid sits correctly and follow the manufacturer care instructions. Keep lifting equipment accessible.
